A man is dead after a shooting at a home near 32nd Street and Southern Avenue in Phoenix late Friday night.
Phoenix police responded to a home in the area around 11:30 p.m. and learned that the caller reported being involved in a shooting while en route.
Upon arrival, the woman, with her children, met officers outside and stated that she shot her ex-boyfriend, 28-year-old Christopher Duran, who was still inside.
Duran was found unresponsive and taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
According to preliminary information, Duran and the woman had recently broken up, and he had forced his way into her home.
Police say the woman has been released, but a decision on charges will occur once the investigation is complete.
The investigation is ongoing, and police will determine charges after completing it.
