Parolee Seeks Lighter Sentence for Reckless Driving
A 32-year-old man from Shellharbour, Trent Arndell, was jailed for his "extraordinarily dangerous driving" after reaching speeds of up to 160km/h through Primbee.
According to court documents, on the morning of September 19, Arndell was seen by police weaving in and out of traffic at double the speed limit in Windang, Primbee, and Warrawong.
- Overtaking multiple vehicles at or near the 60km/h limit on Windang Road
- Merging across two lanes and cutting off other motorists at an estimated speed of 90 to 100km/h
- Tailgating another vehicle in the middle lane
His driving was described as "extraordinarily dangerous" and he will argue that his sentence is too harsh.
