Rehab Ahmed, the Paris 2024 gold medallist, has won her first World Championship title at home in the women's up to 61kg category after recovering from a chest injury.
Ahmed, who suffered from pectoralis major tears, clinched her fifth World Championships title on the fifth day of Elite competitions at Cairo 2025.
Other notable performances include China's Cui Jianjin breaking the world record twice before winning her first international gold, and Turkiye's Abdullah Kayapinar dethroning two-time Paralympic and world champion Omar Qarada.
Rehab Ahmed's victory marks her first title in a new weight category and her first medal since the Paris 2024 gold.
