Franklin County: Over 4,000 Legal Immigrants to Lose SNAP Benefits
The Trump administration has introduced federal cuts to the food and nutrition assistance program, limiting SNAP eligibility to mostly U.S. citizens and green card holders.
As a result, more than 4,000 refugees and legal immigrants in Franklin County are expected to lose SNAP benefits, also known as food stamps, starting in November.

These changes will mostly affect those who are not U.S. citizens or green card holders, with limited exceptions for some Haitian and Cuban refugees.
