The HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2 has started pre-orders as the world's first smartwatch with underwater communication capabilities.
It is built from Zirconium-based Liquid Metal, a material claimed to be stronger and more corrosion-resistant than titanium, featuring a dual-color nanocrystal ceramic bezel and sapphire glass display.
The watch is certified for operation down to 150 meters and supports various diving modes, including recreational, technical, and freediving, with fully functional microphone and speaker capabilities underwater.
Key features include a sonar-based underwater messaging system, allowing divers to send messages or emojis up to 30 meters away and relay SOS alerts up to 60 meters without additional equipment.
The smartwatch boasts a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with 3,500 nits of brightness for clarity even under direct sunlight.
No additional equipment is needed for underwater communication.
