Paramedics Rush to Three Separate Crashes, People Hospitalised

Multiple crashes occurred within a half-hour in the Lake Macquarie area, causing traffic chaos.

Paramedics rushed to the scene of three separate car crashes on Friday. The Pacific Highway was closed in both directions after two cars collided at Charlestown at about 10:30am on October 17.

An Ambulance NSW spokesperson confirmed that three people were assessed at the scene and two were taken to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment. It's understood that no one was seriously injured.

Emergency services, Transport for NSW, and a tow truck were at the scene, with diversions in place while the crash site was cleared.

No one was seriously injured.
