A US Navy warship is holding two survivors of the latest airstrike in the Caribbean, which targeted an alleged drug trafficking boat.
According to Reuters, the airstrike on Thursday hit a semi-submersible vessel that was partially underwater, resulting in at least one death and two survivors.
The survivors were recovered by a US military helicopter and are being kept on the Navy ship, as reported by multiple outlets, including the Associated Press.
This attack brings the death toll from American airstrikes in the region to at least 28 since September.
The new attack came two days after the fifth airstrike in the sea killed six people.
The two survivors are the first to survive the half dozen US strikes in the area.
