A magnitude 3.1 earthquake struck in Berkeley, just east of Cal Memorial Stadium, on Thursday morning at 9:23 a.m., according to the USGS.
The epicenter was located on the UC Berkeley Campus, 800 feet northeast of the Cal Memorial Stadium, and occurred less than an hour before the Great California Shake Out earthquake drill.
This quake follows a 4.3 earthquake centered in Berkeley that shook the Bay Area on September 22, with over 1,400 people reporting feeling the quake from as far away as Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Lodi, and Sunnyvale.
