Stockport Publishes Draft Local Plan
Stockport has released a 219-page spatial strategy for the borough, featuring 26 Green Belt sites.
The draft local plan is now available for review ahead of a consultation period set to begin in the coming weeks.
Planners across the region have got a busy weekend of reading ahead of them.
The plan's design has been described as "not exactly groundbreaking" by some, but others have expressed optimism about the proposal.

- 5 November 2025, 8:00 - 12:00
- 11 November 2025, 8:00 - 12:00
- 13 November 2025, 8:00 - 12:00
The plan's release follows a period of dispute over Stockport's local plan, which began when the council withdrew from the spatial plan for Greater Manchester.
