Abnormal Load Update in North Staffordshire

Police have been involved in the transportation of a 98-metre-long wide load through North Staffordshire.

The load has passed through the area and is currently paused at The Harvester near Trentham to allow traffic to clear.

It will resume its journey towards Newcastle at 12:25hrs on the A34, then rejoin the A34 at Sainsbury's.

Motorists are advised to adjust their routes if traveling through Stone, Newcastle, and Butt Lane.
The load will go 'contraflow' after Walton island and then onto Darlaston, where it will rejoin the correct side as it heads to Newcastle.

Please try to be courteous and understanding as the load makes its way to Cheshire.
