Russia Develops New Electronic Warfare System
Russia has developed a new electronic warfare system called Multik, designed to detect and suppress video links from FPV drones.
The system, developed by the Gradient Research Institute, aims to protect Russian helicopters after a series of drone shoot-downs.
Key Features of the Multik System
- Provides 360° azimuth coverage
- Claims a detection range of about 1,000 m
- Claims a jamming range of near 500 m
The Multik system seeks and jams the video-transmission frequencies FPV pilots use to steer and observe small attack drones.
The system has already undergone airborne trials and is set to be mounted on helicopters and other vehicles.
