Steven McNamara has taken up his new role as head chef at the trendy Bodega 1830 tapas restaurant and wine bar in Clonmel.

A native of Clonmel, Steven returned to Bodega 1830 in August after working as head chef at Fota Restaurant in Cork's five-star Fota Island Resort Hotel for two years.

There is nowhere like this in Clonmel. There is a great vibe here and I want to match the food with that vibe.

Steven is excited to be back and is busy putting his own stamp on the eatery's eclectic menu of tapas dishes, aiming to grow the restaurant's reputation.
