Stuart Hogg, former Scotland star, has revealed the reason behind his return to rugby after a one-year retirement.
"I used to think being selfish was strength."
Hogg admitted to missing the "camaraderie, the laughs, the buzz" of rugby during his retirement. He had finished his career at Exeter and made himself unavailable for the Rugby World Cup in 2023.
"I missed the buzz, the changing room, the banter. I missed rugby more than I ever realised."
Hogg had given up his rugby career to try and save his marriage, during which he struggled with his identity and was prescribed anti-depressants.
