We knew the feeling of waiting anxiously in a lobby for news about our pets. We understood the helplessness of holding a trembling dog and the anxiety of coaxing a cat into a carrier. We worried about outcomes because we have been in our clients' shoes.
We have been them because we are them.
A typical busy Tuesday afternoon in a veterinary clinic is marked by ringing phones, full schedules, emergencies, walk-ins, and exhausted teams working at a sprint pace. In this chaos, the core reason for our work gets buried under medical records, billing disputes, and endless to-do lists.
The truth that keeps me grounded is that before we were veterinarians, technicians, managers, or receptionists, we were pet parents.
