Saskatoon Public Schools Foundation, in partnership with Canpotex, has donated 1,800 Thanksgiving-themed bags to 600 families in the city.
The bags, known as "cheer crates," contain groceries and activities, including turkey, stuffing, and other essentials for a holiday meal. According to the foundation's CEO, Zeba Ahmad, the bags are designed to bring joy to families and include nutritious foods like apples, oranges, and eggs.
"all kinds of things that bring joy to a family"
The donation aims to support families beyond the Thanksgiving weekend. Canpotex, one of the world's largest suppliers of potash overseas, has partnered with the foundation to make this initiative possible.
