Google Achieves Quantum Computing Milestone
Google has announced a significant breakthrough in quantum computing, successfully running a verifiable algorithm on a quantum computer for the first time in history.
The quantum version of the algorithm outperformed leading classical supercomputers, running 13,000 times faster.
“We have demonstrated the first-ever verifiable quantum advantage running the out-of-order time correlator (OTOC) algorithm, which we call Quantum Echoes,”
This achievement brings Google closer to developing quantum computers that can drive major discoveries in fields like medicine and materials science.
