According to a peak body, there has been a "historic" retirement shift.
At ages 60 to 64, men average about $396,000 in superannuation savings, while women average around $313,000.
Some Australians are not confident about their retirement, with concerns about having enough savings.
The amount needed per year for retirement varies, but Australians are advised to plan accordingly.
