SEC Suspends Referee Ken Williamson

The Southeastern Conference has suspended referee Ken Williamson for the remainder of the 2025 season after his crew's performance in Georgia's 20-10 win at Auburn on Oct. 11.

A controversial call in the game occurred when Auburn quarterback Jackson Arnold attempted a quarterback sneak on third-and-goal from the Georgia 1. UGA linebacker Raylen Wilson punched the ball from Arnold's grasp, leading to a UGA recovery and a lengthy review that was ultimately upheld.

UGA went on to score 20 unanswered points en route to a win at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

The suspension was first reported by Yellowhammer News on Wednesday.
