Riders of the Mukilteo-Clinton ferry route are advised to plan ahead for a series of cancellations early next year.
Washington State Ferries has announced a timeline for construction work affecting the route, which includes repairs to the Mukilteo terminal's west wing wall, damaged in 2022 from a rough landing.
The repairs, scheduled for January and February, will require the use of a crane in the terminal's single slip, resulting in nine weekdays of midday sailing cancellations.
According to the schedule, the last morning sailings will be the 8:30 a.m. departures, with weather conditions potentially impacting the timeline.
Work must stop if a protected marine mammal is spotted, and good visibility is needed.
