Stratford Youth Offer Hope for Future at UN Anniversary Celebration
Dozens of students gathered at city hall on Friday to share their efforts in making a difference.
Club members highlighted their own initiatives to make the world a better place, marking the 80th anniversary of the United Nations.
“Youth are the greatest source of hope to our planet,”
said Charles Fitzsimmons, quoting UN Secretary-General António Guterres, emphasizing the role of youth in supporting the UN's primary role as a peacemaker.
Fitzsimmons stressed that despite progress, there is still work to be done, noting "we're not at the end of the trail of our harm."
