Connecting the Ohio Valley to major cities, buses are set to return to Steubenville after a 20-year absence.
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) announced significant changes to public transit, introducing new bus services and routes across Ohio.
A new route will connect Columbus to Pittsburgh, making stops in Steubenville, as part of an expansion of existing routes to connect more of the state together.
"This inner-city bus service is something ODOT has been involved in for several years," said ODOT Press Secretary Matt Bruning. "We've had existing routes across the state that have done well but we wanted to be able to expand that service; it's about a $4 million investment in federal funds that ODOT has been able to direct to the service and it will open up a lot more of the state to this inner-city bus travel.
