More than 140,000 bottles of cholesterol medication are affected by a recent recall, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

If you are taking medications for heart health, check your prescription list, as the recall impacts the cholesterol drug atorvastatin calcium.

The FDA classified the recall as a Class II recall, which means exposure to the impacted product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.

The recall was announced in a recent FDA Enforcement Report by the drug company Ascend Laboratories.
