Call for Resignation and Termination
A citizen's efforts to expose a spending scandal has led to a demand for North Bay Mayor Peter Chirico's resignation and the termination of CAO John Severino.
Keven Ferris, who filed Freedom of Information requests along with Nicole Peltier, expressed disappointment but not surprise at the Integrity Commissioner's report. The report, released by Guy Giorno, was seen as lenient towards the mayor.
Giorno gave the mayor the most generous interpretation of the code of conduct that he could have. It doesn't even admonish the mayor.
