Hong Kong customs has seized HK$9 million worth of ketamine and arrested two men in connection with the incident.
A joint operation with anti-smuggling authorities in mainland China led to the interception of two parcels declared as pesticides, which contained 20kg of suspected ketamine hidden inside plastic buckets.
In addition to the ketamine, HK$420,000 in cash was also seized.
A spokesman for the Customs and Excise Department announced the seizure on Wednesday evening.
