Commission Hears Claims of Donation to Mchunu's ANC Campaign
The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry has heard claims that Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala, a criminally accused tender funder, donated R500,000 to Police Minister Senzo Mchunu's ANC presidential campaign.
A protected witness, Witness C, a Gauteng counterintelligence officer, testified that Matlala was introduced to Mchunu by Brown Mogotsi, who acted as an intermediary for the minister's campaign funding.
Matlala contributed R500,000 in January last year, covering flights and accommodation for ANC members attending the party's January 8 celebrations in Cape Town.
