Pensievision Wins Luminate NY OPI Accelerator Competition
Pensievision has been named the winner of the Luminate NY OPI Accelerator competition, securing a $1 million investment from New York State through the Finger Lakes Forward Upstate Revitalization Initiative.
The company plans to use the funding to
"anchor its growth in the region by engaging with local supply chains, hiring engineering talent from area universities, and partnering with Rochester-based design and manufacturing firms".
Pensievision has developed a unique 3D imaging approach for use in demanding environments, including medical diagnostics, factory floors, and orbital missions.
Additionally, four other companies received follow-on funding, and Pensievision was awarded
"Company of the Year"at the Luminate Finals 2025.
Luminate NY, administered by NextCorps, is the world's largest business accelerator for emerging companies with technologies enabled by optics, photonics, and imaging.
