Arkansas Baseball Rallies to Beat Dallas Baptist
The Arkansas baseball team defeated Dallas Baptist 5-3 in an exhibition game at Baum-Walker Stadium, thanks to a big seventh inning and superb defensive play.
A key moment in the game came when Arkansas left fielder Brenton Clark made a remarkable catch to rob DBU catcher Mac Rose of a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning, preserving the victory.
“Right when it was hit we knew it was going to go to the fence. We just didn’t know if it was quite going to get over it,”
said Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn, praising Clark's effort. The coach noted that Clark timed his leap perfectly on the wind-aided ball.
