Town offices will be closed on Friday, October 31, in observance of Nevada Day. The Nye County School District will also be closed on this day.
The USPS will operate on its regular schedule, with delivery and collection taking place as usual. As the postal oath states:

Beatty Days
Beatty Days will take place from today until November 2nd at Beatty Cottonwood Park, located at the corner of 3rd and Amargosa Streets. The event will feature:

- Live music by Still Drunk at Sunrise and Wildhorse bands
- Vendors
- Tricycle races
- A Halloween costume contest
- Miss and Junior Miss Beatty Days crowning
- Signature bed races
