Despite chilly temperatures, Owen Sound residents gathered to try an award-winning ice cream on Sunday.
Naagan chef Zach Keeshig served his sweetgrass ice cream at a pop-up event at Sundays Ice Cream Parlour in Owen Sound from 11 a.m.
The event was one of the last chances to taste the Indigenous-inspired dessert this season, fresh from winning the Most Innovative Ice Cream award at the International Ice Cream Consortium.
Keeshig, from the Chippewas of Nawash First Nation, owns and operates Naagan, a fine-dining restaurant serving modern Indigenous cuisine in downtown Owen Sound.
Naagan was recently ranked No. on the 2025 Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants List.
