Spurious Liquor Scam: Jogi Ramesh Arrested
Senior YSR Congress party leader and former minister Jogi Ramesh was arrested by the Special Investigation Team of the Andhra Pradesh police on Sunday in connection with an illegal liquor manufacturing case.
Ramesh was arrested from his residence at Ibrahimpatnam in NTR district, along with his aide, Arepalli Ramu. He was taken to the Excise Department office in Vijayawada for questioning by the SIT officials.
Addepalli Janardhana Rao, the prime accused in the case, alleged that spurious liquor was manufactured under the directions of Ramesh.
Ramesh's arrest was expected, as he was being investigated by the SIT in connection with the spurious liquor case.
