BLINN FOOTBALL ELIMINATED FROM PLAYOFF CONTENTION AFTER LOSS TO KILGORE

A last-minute touchdown drive by Kilgore College and an upset victory by Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College combined to spell the end of Blinn College’s playoff hopes Saturday in Brenham, Texas.
Kilgore rallied for a 45-40 victory over the Buccaneers at Cub Stadium following a long lightning delay that paused play late in the third quarter.
Blinn needed a victory over the Rangers and a Kilgore win over Northeastern Oklahoma next week to secure a Southwest Junior College Football Conference (SWJCFC) tournament berth, but NEO spoiled the Bucs’ plans with an upset win over No. 7 Trinity Valley Community College earlier Saturday.
Blinn (3-5, 1-5 SWJCFC) will conclude its season with a road trip to Cisco College at 3 p.m.
