Proton Appoints New Deputy CEO
Dato’ Abdul Rashid Musa has been appointed as the new Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Proton, effective from 1 November 2025.
He will report directly to Proton's CEO, Li Chunrong. Abdul Rashid has over 30 years of experience with the company, previously serving as Chief Technical Officer and CEO of Proton Edar in 2017.
During his tenure, he oversaw the launch of key models such as the Proton X70 in 2018. After leaving Proton, Abdul Rashid joined UMW Holdings Berhad, where he led initiatives in mobility, innovation, and sustainable development.
