Panzenbeck Projected to Win Mayor Election in Glen Cove City
With nearly all votes counted, Pam Panzenbeck is likely to win reelection for a third term as mayor, receiving 56.42% of the vote.
She defeated Democratic candidate Marsha Silverman, according to totals provided by the Nassau County Board of Elections.
Although the vote totals are not yet official, both parties acknowledged that absentee ballots would likely be trickling in.
Despite Silverman's loss, Democrats achieved a small victory, as the city council is expected to remain evenly divided with three Democrats and three Republicans.
