We are issuing a FIRST ALERT for a calm evening before significant changes arrive Friday night. Thursday was beautiful across Eastern Kentucky, with highs in the low to mid 60s and slightly cooler temperatures expected.
Tonight will remain mostly clear, with overnight lows dropping into the low to mid 40s.
Friday starts off mostly calm, with temperatures rising back into the upper 60s to low 70s. However, a front will move in overnight and continue into Saturday, increasing the chances for rain and storms.
"All eyes are on the weekend now. Friday, we will start off mainly quiet, then another front swings through overnight and into Saturday."
Expect the weather to become active quickly after this quiet evening, with increasing storm risks as the weekend approaches.
