Overnight Work Scheduled on I-25 in Pueblo
The Colorado Department of Transportation announced that crews will close I-25 this weekend in Pueblo to advance the Highway 50B interchange project.
Construction Details and Impact
Work will begin Friday night with demolition of the existing Highway 50B bridge over I-25. Overnight closures will affect both northbound and southbound traffic according to the following schedule:
Detour Routes
- Southbound drivers should use Colorado Highway 47 (Exit 101), continue on CO 96, then take Santa Fe Avenue and 13th Street (Exit 99B) to rejoin southbound I-25.
- Northbound motorists should take the off-ramp to eastbound US 50B (Exit 100A), then use CO 47 (Exit 318) to return to northbound I-25.
Project Overview
This work is part of a $114 million interchange project launched in 2024, with completion expected in summer 2027. Upon finishing, it will feature:
- 5 new bridges
- Retaining and noise walls
- New ramps and safety upgrades
- Drainage and erosion control improvements
