Louisville Police Arrest Suspect in Elderly Man's Murder
The Louisville Metro Police Department's Homicide Unit is investigating the fatal shooting of a 76-year-old man on Manslick Road.
Incident Details
Richard Kevin Jenkins was found dead at the scene in the 7800 block of Manslick Road near Oakcrest Court around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.
Arrest and Charges
On Thursday, police arrested 50-year-old Justin Hayes, who is charged with murder. According to the arrest citation, Jenkins was shot during a domestic violence incident. Hayes reportedly contacted family members and
“alluded to shooting” Jenkins.
