airBaltic has opened a new direct flight connecting Gran Canaria, Spain, and Molde, Norway, boosting its winter network from the Canary Islands. The weekly service operates on Wednesdays until early April 2026, linking airBaltic’s seasonal base in Gran Canaria with the picturesque Norwegian city in under six hours.
“The new route is expected to attract more Norwegian tourists seeking sunshine during the winter months, while also giving residents of Gran Canaria the chance to experience Norway’s spectacular natural landscapes,” said Thomas Ramdahl, Chief Commercial Officer at airBaltic.
Ramdahl added, “We thank our partners in Gran Canaria for supporting this expansion, which enhances the island’s connectivity to Europe.”
Flights are operated using the Airbus A220-300, providing passengers with a modern and comfortable travel experience. Features include spacious seating, large windows, ample cabin storage, and complimentary high-speed SpaceX Starlink Wi-Fi, marking a first for European airlines.
