Latvian carrier airBaltic reported a net profit of €6 million in the third quarter of 2025, maintaining positive results even with fewer passengers. Revenues grew by 3.7% year-on-year, reaching €244.7 million, while passenger numbers declined by 5.1% due to network adjustments.
“While passenger numbers in Q3 were slightly lower than last year, mainly due to network optimizations, we increased ticket yields, continued to grow revenue and strengthened our ACMI strategy,” said airBaltic CEO Pauls Cālītis.
The airline described the quarter as a pivotal one for shaping its annual performance. Over the period, airBaltic completed 13,400 scheduled flights and 10.8% more ACMI-out flights, exceeding 10,500, totaling 23,900 flights. The company also wet-leased up to 19 aircraft to the Lufthansa Group and provided short-term services to several major European airlines.
In the first nine months of 2025, the airline recorded a net profit of €4.2 million, a significant improvement from last year’s €48.5 million loss. Revenue for that period reached €594.3 million, a 3.3% increase compared to the same months in 2024.
airBaltic achieved a €6 million profit in Q3 2025 by raising yields and expanding ACMI operations despite a passenger decrease and market adjustments.
