Mild and breezy conditions will persist through Friday before a weekend storm brings cooler temperatures. FOX 32's Mike Caplan explains today's weather outlook.
November continues with mild weather. Today will be mostly cloudy to partly sunny with highs in the lower 60s. Winds will be lighter than yesterday but will increase tonight and tomorrow.
Tonight's lows will stay in the 50s, close to typical highs for this time of year. Tomorrow is expected to be the third consecutive day with highs above 60°F, featuring a mix of clouds and sun and windy conditions with gusts reaching 30 mph.
Thursday will remain dry with highs in the mid to upper 50s as the next storm system approaches. Showers and possibly embedded thunder are expected Thursday night through Friday morning.
After the showers, Friday will be breezy and mild again, with highs near the lower 60s.
The weekend storm system is likely to hit Saturday afternoon, bringing showers and highs in the lower 50s, followed by a plunge in temperatures Sunday.
Precipitation should end by Sunday morning, clearing most areas before the Bears game.
“There is much ballyhoo already about potential snow arriving Sunday or Monday and here’s what I will say about that: The US model has scaled back its ridiculous snowfall prediction from yesterday.”
Moderate weather will last through Friday, with a weekend storm cooling Chicago and reducing earlier heavy snow forecasts.
