Australia is set to welcome Snowtunnel Park, a revolutionary indoor skiing facility that allows users to ski year-round. This innovative park features the world’s first rotating tunnel designed to simulate real downhill slopes and enable continuous skiing or snowboarding.
Snowtunnel Park’s central feature is a rotating tunnel measuring 12.5 meters in height and 16 meters in length. The tunnel is lined with actual snow, created from water and air, and meticulously groomed into smooth ridges. This design lets users glide continuously as if skiing on an endless slope.
Scheduled to open in 2027, the Snowtunnel Park will initially be installed in Australia’s major cities: Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. The design team includes entrepreneurs specializing in snow and action sports aiming to expand this concept across the country.
“The rotating system creates what the designers call an endless mountain. Riders stay in place while the snow moves below them, making it possible to ski or board without needing a large mountain or long track.”
This indoor rotating ski park promises an innovative, year-round skiing experience by simulating endless slopes through moving snow surfaces, making winter sports accessible anywhere in Australia.
