ABC delayed Thursday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” because of a personal matter involving the host. The scheduled guests included actor David Duchovny from “Malice,” “Stranger Things” star Joe Keery, and musical performer Madison Beer.
According to attendees invited to the taping at the El Capitan Theatre, the network informed them that the show was “postponed” and that replacement tickets for a future recording would be provided.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Jimmy Kimmel Live needed to reschedule my performance that was originally set to air tonight to a later date. I’ll share more details on timing when I can. I can’t wait for you all to see it,”
wrote Madison Beer to her followers on social media.
In place of the planned episode, ABC aired a rerun from October 28. While it’s uncommon for Jimmy Kimmel—or any late-night host—to miss an episode, the demanding schedule occasionally requires flexibility when personal matters arise.
