The Buffalo Sabres will be without their captain for a short period as defenseman Rasmus Dahlin takes a leave of absence to return to Sweden to be with his fiancée.

“Everything is okay,” said Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff. “Rasmus will be taking a temporary leave of absence to deal with a personal matter back in Sweden. He said everything is okay, and he has full support from our team.”
