Mona Awad on Terrifying Fairy Tales and Her New Book
Novelist Mona Awad has become a BookTok phenomenon for her blend of fantasy, horror, and modernized elements of classic fairy tales.
Her novels, including "Bunny," "Rouge," and "All's Well," have gained significant attention, particularly "Bunny," which explores a clique of girls in a New England MFA program.
Award returns to the story of "Bunny" in her newest book, "We Love You, Bunny," a direct sequel.
Mona Awad's work blends fantasy and horror with modernized elements of classic fairy tales.
Awad spoke with us ahead of a sold-out reading event at Lovestruck Books in Cambridge's Harvard Square.
