Teachers Licensing Initiative to Uphold Education Standards
The Botswana Teaching Professionals Councils (BOTEPCO) has officially launched the long-awaited teacher’s registration and licensing initiative.
This initiative marks a new era of professionalism, accountability, and excellence in the education sector, ensuring only qualified and competent individuals shape the nation’s future through education.
“The exercise is meant to elevate the standard of teaching through advanced digitalization, which is why we are professionalising teaching. Today marks an important milestone where teaching will be professionalised,’’
stated Minister of Child Welfare and Basic Education, Nono Kgafela-Mokoka, during the launch themed ‘Professionalisation at the core; Transforming Education for Sustainable Development’.
