A witness reported that two people were swept away after falling into Dandenong Creek near Allan Street at about 3:45 pm. It is believed the woman tried to help the child but got into trouble herself.
Emergency Response
Police searched the area and found the unconscious pair. They were pulled from the water, and CPR was administered. Despite efforts from emergency services, both were unable to be revived and were declared deceased at the scene.
